Year 5 pupils were delighted to receive their very own dictionaries this week, kindly donated by the Rotary Club.
We were pleased to welcome Gerry Thompson into school, who presented each child with a dictionary and led an engaging assembly. During her visit, Gerry spoke to pupils about the importance of reading, language and learning, encouraging them to make the most of the valuable resource they had been given.
The dictionaries will help support pupils with their reading, writing and vocabulary development both in school and at home.
We would like to thank Gerry Thompson and the Rotary Club for their generosity and continued support of our school community. The children were excited to receive their dictionaries and are looking forward to putting them to good use throughout the year.
