Cropwell Bishop Primary School celebrated two fantastic Sports Days this week, with pupils showing determination, teamwork and sportsmanship despite the exceptionally warm weather.

With temperatures reaching around 30°C, the decision was made to split Sports Day across two mornings to ensure everyone could take part safely and enjoyably. KS1 pupils took to the field on Wednesday morning, while KS2 children competed on Thursday morning.

Across both days, children participated in a variety of events, demonstrating incredible effort, enthusiasm and perseverance. Whether running, jumping, throwing or cheering on their classmates, every child represented the school brilliantly and made their families and teachers proud.

We were delighted to welcome so many parents and family members who came along to support the children. Your encouragement and applause helped create a wonderful atmosphere and made the events even more special for everyone involved. Thank you for taking the time to join us and celebrate the children’s achievements.

A huge congratulations must go to Water, who were crowned this year’s Sports Day Champions after two exciting mornings of competition. House Captain Juno and Vice Captain Pippa proudly lifted the trophy on behalf of their teammates, marking a fantastic achievement for the house.

While there could only be one winning house, every pupil should be proud of their contribution. The determination, positivity and support shown by all competitors truly embodied the spirit of Sports Day.

Well done to every child who took part, congratulations to Water, and thank you once again to all of our families for their support. We are incredibly proud of you all!
