Sport 2018 - 2019
Year 5/6 Sports Hall Athletics
Over 20 children from years 5 and 6 have recently participated in an athletics competition over two rounds. Split into two boys and two girls’ teams, they all competed in various running, throwing and jumping events against other schools across Nottinghamshire.
All teams worked extremely hard and did incredibly well across all activities, coming an overall third place in their finals heat. The girls team in particular performed exceptionally, winning all of their relay races. Our performance demonstrated the huge number of talented athletes in upper KS2, all with a great attitude towards sport.

Flintham Match Report - Monday 8th October 2018
By Charlie Allcock - Captain
On Monday after school, Cropwell Bishop played Flintham school in a cup match.
Our team was: Max, Zach, Charlie W also known as Waggers, Charlie A, Coby, Jasper, Ruben, Adam and Owen.
We were late starting because Mr Aldred had to run around filling in the holes in the pitch!
Once the game got underway, Cropwell soon went into the lead with a sweet strike by Ruben and a great assist by Charlie. This was followed by more amazing goals by Ruben, a skilful tap in by Jasper, a top corner goal that was swept in just in front of the corner flag by Charlie and a blast from Adam just after coming on as a sub. At half time it was 6-0 to Cropwell and the Flintham boys needed a new plan.
In the second half, Flintham swapped their team around and pulled back 2 goals but near the end Cropwell scored again taking the score to 7-2.
Well done to the whole team, all the players stayed in their positions and passed the ball well. Max was brilliant in goal in his first ever football match. Mr Coley did an amazing job as manager and referee and by the end he was tired from running up and down the pitch! Thanks to Mrs Wroughton for being in charge of the timing and the subs bench. We all worked really hard to get our 7-2 victory and we are looking forward to the next round of the cup.
