Sport 2017 - 2018
School Games Silver Mark Award
We are delighted to announce that we, Cropwell Bishop Primary School, have achieved the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2017/18 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in
2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
Many of our talented young people competed in local inter-school competitions this year and we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.
As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of
participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that
the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.
A special thanks to all the parents that supported us!
We look forward to applying once again in 2019!

A great deal of sport goes on both in school and after school, with clubs and competitions. In particular a Thursday is a very busy day in school with Mr Neil Smith our sports coach being in school. At the moment the classes working with Mr Smith are doing gym and here are some of the things they get up to:-
Also on a Thursday lunchtime Jo Wroughton and Mr Smith run a Schoolrun with many of the children from Classes 4, 5 and 6 taking part. This couldn't go ahead without the volunteers who help out, both children and parents, so a big thank you to you all.
