Cross Country, Rushcliffe Country Park - Thursday 3rd October 2019

On Thurdsday 14 of our Year 5 and 6 children went to Rushcliffe country Park for a Cross Country Festival. The children ran in teams against other schools and whilst we are still awaiting the results the children were a credit to the school.

Rushcliffe Schools Boys’ Football Tournament – Saturday 14th September 2019

What a fabulous occasion this was!

We were brilliantly represented at this six-a-side tournament by Oscar, Jasper, William, Zach, Nina, Oliver and Max. We played five matches in a mini-league against schools such as West Bridgford Junior School and Lantern Lane Primary. We had mixed results, although all the matches were very even and an excellent standard of football was played by the whole team throughout.

The most pleasing aspect was the manner in which the children played. Our school values are Pride, Respect, Perseverance and Kindness and these qualities were displayed in abundance by the players and our parent supporters. We shook hands and congratulated other players, irrespective of the result and kept going when we were losing or chasing that elusive goal. We were kind to our team members when the going was tough and we wore our Cropwell Bishop football kit with pride.

Mrs Wroughton, our coach, was enormously proud to say these were Cropwell Bishop children and impressed by the quality of our football. It promises to be a great football season!
