Year 1 - Councilor Visit

Monday 18th March 2019

On March 18th, Class 1 had a visit from Cllr Gordon Moore from Rushcliffe Borough Council and Cllr Alan Wilson, chairman of Cropwell Bishop Parish Council. Mrs Wroughton also joined us for questions as she too is on Cropwell Bishop Parish Council. Class 1 have been looking at democracy and how the British Government works, so were interested to learn about the responsibilities of the various councils. Cllr Moore was highly complimentary about the questions the children put to him. It was a really valuable session and the children  found out many interesting facts. We are grateful to both gentlemen for their time.

Dragon Disaster

An unusual thing came to Cropwell Bishop Primary School. On Friday night something or one came in our classroom and laid an egg, but left it's egg here. All of the children came into their classroom, they were shocked, their classroom was destroyed, completely destroyed.

All of the chairs were upside down and even the tables were upside down as well, but luckily we had to go to do the register in the Computer Room. After that we went to the hall to do a news report about what had happened.

Mysterious Egg in Cropwell School

It was school and all the children went into the class, they discovered an egg in Cropwell Bishop School. The classroom was a real mess but we don't know what time it got here. The thing left a mysterious egg and we think it would be on Monday or Friday.

The egg was purple and glittery and the classroom was a disaster, the egg was really, really special.

Now we know what it looked like, a burnt brown dragon with dark orange eyes with gigantic dark grey wings and enormous gigantic long arms. The legs were extremely, extremely long and the colour of the feet were extraordinary black.

Key Stage One Nativity

Friday 14th December 2018

This afternoon, the children from Key Stage One presented a wonderful performance of their Nativity play.  Class Two performed the main acting parts, with Class One children playing the Angels and Shepherds and the Reception Class taking the parts of the animals in the stable.

The whole play was put together by Miss Arnold and all the Key Stage One staff.

It was a huge success.

Well done Key Stage One!
