Rotary Club Art Competition Success!

We were delighted to welcome Gerry from the Vale of Belvoir Rotary Club to Cropwell Bishop Primary School to announce the results of this year’s Rotary Art Competition. The theme for this exciting challenge was to create a piece of art based on your favourite book—and the entries were truly outstanding!
Thirteen schools across the region took part, making the competition tougher than ever. We are incredibly proud to share that several of our talented pupils were recognised for their creativity and artistic flair.
In the Upper Key Stage 2 category, Jessica Trevers (Year 6) received a Highly Commended award, and Daisy Bowler (Year 6) was awarded Best in UKS2. Over in Lower Key Stage 2, Ben Smith (Year 3) also earned a Highly Commended award for his beautiful work.
A huge congratulations goes to Ava Scarrott-Patel (Year 3), who not only won Best in LKS2 but also took home the overall winner’s prize for the entire competition! What an incredible achievement—well done, Ava!
We’re so proud of all the children who entered and showcased their love of reading through art. Thank you to Gerry and the Vale of Belvoir Rotary Club for supporting and celebrating young creativity.
Which book would you choose to turn into a work of art?
